王治安，香港理工大学应用数学系教授，华中师大本科硕士， 加拿大艾伯塔大学应用数学博士，美国明尼苏达大学应用数学所博士后。从事与生物数学相关的偏微分方程研究，包括建模，理论分析与数值模拟。现担任JMB, DCDS-B等杂志编委, 曾获香港数学会青年学者奖。

摘要:

This talk is concerned with existence, non-existence and uniqueness of positive (coexistence) steady states to a predator-prey system with density-dependent dispersal. By our analysis results, we pinpoint the positive role of density-dependent dispersal on the predator-prey dynamics for the first time and show that the density-dependent dispersal is a beneficial strategy promoting the coexistence of species in the predator-prey system by increasing the chance of predator's survival.
